What is Microblading

KRIBROWS offers microblading services which is a semi-permanent tattoo service. The tattoo procedure is tattooed into the skin penetrating at the dermis layer. Microblading is also known as 3D eyebrows, feather brows or micro stroke brows. The procedure is done by a certified and skilled artist who measures and calculates the shape of a client’s brows based on the golden ratio and facial structure specific to the client.

The procedure is done using sterilized tools and techniques to create the most natural looking brows based on your face structure. The hair like strokes are specifically placed so that it flows in the same direction of your natural hairs to create the most natural looking eyebrows.

How does microblading create a more youthful appearance?

Microblading creates a more youthful look no matter what your age is, microblading can take off years! Here is an analogy: Think of a full head of hair v.s sparse or balding hair. “Fullness” is a sign of youth, so by filling in any sparse areas we create a more youthful appearance.

How long does the procedure last on my eyebrows?

The procedure can last from 1-3 years depending on every individual: your skin type, lifestyle, and proper pre and aftercare instructions that you follow.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure takes about 3 hours. Please come in with an open schedule as we want to give you the best brows and discussing the shape can take time. First, the eyebrow shape is measured according to your specific facial features, such as your eye and nose, this allows us to create the most suitable shape and then we move on to choose the pigment colour depending on your eyebrow colour. Once we are both satisfied with the shape, the procedure will begin and can take 2 hours.

Does the microblading procedure hurt?

A topical anesthetic is used during the procedure to enable comfort to our clients. The pain level is about a 3/10

Microblading is less painful than getting a tattoo but slightly more painful than plucking out your eyebrows or getting a wax.

But at the end of the day would you rather have 1-2 hours of slight discomfort for 1-3 years of no hassle, make-up ready eyebrows each and every morning?

Is a touch up required? How often?

Clients usually require a touch up appointment within 2 months (8 weeks) from the date of the procedure. During this procedure we see where strokes need to be re-added and if the client is satisfied with the colour or go darker or thicker. This procedure can take approx. 1.5 hours.
